Colliers Hill - Accessibility Statement
A warm welcome awaits you at Colliers Hill. This Georgian Farm House does not
have any downstairs bedrooms and is therefore not able to provide overnight
facilities for guests who are unable to manage stairs. We are happy to discuss
any specific requests or questions you may have, prior to your visit.
A gravel drive leads to the house which is set back from the road in extensive
grounds with plenty of parking available close to both front and back doors.
There is a small step into the house from both entrances.
Ground
Floor
The ground floor is level throughout apart from a small step from the guest
dining room into a corridor leading to the conference area where there is another
small step into the main part of the room.
This conference area has separate cloakrooms which are situated at the far end
of the room up 9 steps.
There is also a cloakroom with wash hand basin situated close to the back door
at ground floor level. There are no steps to this room.
There are french windows with one wide step (7 ½ foot wide x 6 inches high),
leading to a level courtyard from the conference room.
First
Floor
There is a wide staircase with 16 steps (3 foot wide x 7 inches high) with a
handrail on the left side leading to the first floor. All bedrooms are accessible
from the main landing.
Welcome information is available in large print, upon request.
Each bedroom has tea and coffee making facilities, with cordless kettles, together
with seasonal welcome treats with all ingredients clearly shown. Please let
us know before your arrival if you have any special dietry requirements.
Heating is thermastatically controlled and adjustable in all rooms.
All bedrooms have en-suite facilities with non slip floors and separate walk
in shower cubicles. The Midsummer Night's Dream room has a 12 inch step up to
the shower. Please let us know if you wish to make use of specialised equipment
ie. Shower seats.
The bedrooms are lit from a main ceiling light controllable from the door. There
are also bedside lamps on each side of the bed.
The televisions are wall mounted with romote control handsets.
The bedrooms are lockable with a key and guests can be provided with a main
entrance key.
Other Information
Mobile phone signals can generally be accessed within the house and a cordless
telephone handset on the house phone line, can be made available upon request.
This is a non smoking household.
Assistance dogs are welcome with prior notification. There are no dogs or cats
in the household to avoid the possibility of allergies.
