What a special night you made it for me. Totally overwhelmed with the room,
table, balloons, lights etc. Beautiful. I suppose I shouldn't have been that
suprised as I know how creative and good at thinking of the small touches you
are, but never-the-less, it made me feel fantastic and for that, thanks buddy!!
Oh yes, and then there was the food - WOW!! We knew you were a great cook, but
again, so-o-o impressive, the canapes (not in the budget obviously, naughty
girl) were like we were at the Ritz, and then the main meal, how can mushroom
soup taste more mushroomy than mushrooms?!
The trout - opaque, jewel-like plump pink flesh and the most delicate scrummy
cream. The chicken pie - it's chicken pie folks, but not as we know it, the
venison, with those darling little dumplings and star puffs, the veg - all deserved
individual attention, not just side dishes, and the puds, well, stunning and,
like everything else - plenty, plenty, plenty....Everyone else was suitably
impressed too,
